Our group enjoys gathering to learn and share more about quilting with each other. We enjoy our time together in monthly meetings, sew-days and instructor led special events.
Our guild is active in supporting our community as well - visit our community service page to see some of the organizations we are currently supporting with our quilts and other projects.
During the lock down due to COVID-19, members made and donated over 900 masks as well as tube covers for chemo patients in the children's unit, pillowcases for the Shriner's Children's Hospital, charity quilts and Quilts of Valor.
Our meeting on Thursday, November 10, was another time of sharing, learning, and planning. Members shared personal projects as well as the numerous projects for donating. Our program showed us how one member uses her embroidery machine to create beautiful embroidered and appliqued items, including quilts, hand towels, greeting cards, and so much more.
Our next meeting will be our annual Christmas brunch. Members should watch their emails for any further information.
Name tags are a great way for members of our growing group to learn each others' names, and a quilted one lets us use our love of quilting along with our creativity. If you don't have a quilted name tag, consider making one for our next meeting. Quilted name tag ideas can be found on Pinterest.
What to bring to the next meeting:
1. Quilted name tag - make one to share so we can all admire it!
2. Show and Tell
3. Community Service projects (see Community Service)
4. Your plans to have fun and learn !
