The Swamp Rabbit Quilt Guild supports multiple local groups with our quilting ministries. 
North Greenville Food Crisis Ministry

Every year at Christmas we give them 100 gift bags sewn by our members, which we fill with full-size toiletries. 

​

SRQG also collects bars of soap to donate year round to the Food Crisis Ministry.

Foothills Family Resources

 SRQG supports this organization by providing quilts for infants and children. 

 

Shriners Hospitals from Children - Greenville

SRQG Supports this organization by providing hand-sewn pillowcases for each patient which are then taken home when the children are discharged.   

Safe Harbor Shelter for Domestic Violence Victims

SRQG supports this organization by providing hand-sewn buddy bags that hold a small stuffed animal with its own little quilt to give to children.    

Preemies of the Carolinas

SRQG supports this organization by providing quilts and flannel blankets for preemie babies.  Blankets can be 20 x 20 up through 42 x42 inches.

 3.  Buddy Bags: Two-Handled Cuddle Buddy Tote Bag for children at Safe Harbor.

The cut size is 13 1/2" x 14". You need 2 for the outside and 2 for the lining. The straps are one piece cut at 4" x 44". It is then cut in half to make the two handles. The original pattern that was given to us was from "Skip to My Lou"  on Pinterest. It was called "Two Handled Cuddle Tote Bag".

5. Quilts of Valor 2024 Block - Ohio Star

   SRQG supports QOV by making blocks to donate for quilts to be presented to veterans. Some members also provide long arming services for quilt tops to the local QOV chapter.

 

In 2024, the Guild will make blocks into a completed quilt ready to present to a veteran.
